Is 8-16 VDC present at

connector J261?

No.

Repair wire 119 (EM 0195)

or replace left rear electrical

harness (WP 0064 00).

1.

Set multimeter to VDC.

Yes.

Go to (Indication/Condition

6).

2.

Remove left rear composite

light from trailer for access

(WP 0060 00).

3.

Disconnect connector J261

from left rear composite

taillight.

4.

Connect positive (+) probe

of multimeter to connector

J261.

5.

Connect negative (-) probe

of multimeter to a known

good ground.

6.

Position main light switch to

STOP LIGHT on towing

vehicle, depress brake pedal,

and note reading on

multimeter.
