CONDITION/INDICATION
Is the drawbar free of damage?
DECISION
Drawbar parts are loose - Tighten loose drawbar parts (WP
0103). Go to (Step 5 - Does trailer follow vehicle without
wandering or pulling to one side?) to verify problem is solved.
Drawbar parts are damaged - Replace damaged drawbar parts (WP
0103). Go to (Step 5 - Does trailer follow vehicle
without wandering or pulling to one side?) to verify problem is solved.
Drawbar binds and/or is difficult to raise or lower - Repair/Replace necessary parts (WP
0103). Go to (Step 5 - Does
trailer follow vehicle without wandering or pulling to one side?) to verify problem is solved.
Drawbar movement is smooth and free of interference - Go to (Step 4 - Does the turntable turn freely without
interference?).
STEP 4
Does the turntable turn freely without interference?
NOTE
Turntable should turn freely without interference.
1.
Raise up trailer and support front suspension so front wheels are off the ground (WP
0061).

2.
While assistant rotates drawbar, observe turntable movement.
CONDITION/INDICATION
Does the turntable turn freely without interference?
DECISION
Movement OK - Go to (Step 5 - Does trailer follow vehicle without wandering or pulling to one side?) to verify problem
is solved.
Interference - Turntable is damaged. Contact your Supervisor.
STEP 5
Does trailer follow vehicle without wandering or pulling to one side?
1.
Connect trailer to vehicle. Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).
2.
Connect emergency and service air supply gladhands to vehicle.
3.
Have assistant turn engine start switch to ON. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
4.
Push in trailer charge valve in vehicle. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
5.
While assistant drives vehicle and pulls trailer, observe trailer.
