Hydraulic system is under high pressure.
Follow safety procedures to prevent injury.
Wipe up any spilled hydraulic fluid.
Start engine and operate hydraulic pumps to
pressurize hydraulic system.
Remove lock from spade cylinder and check
operation for smoothness. If jerky or slow, notify
direct support maintenance.
Check all hydraulic components for leaks. Tight-
en all loose or leaking connections.
SPACE CYLINDER HINGE PINS
Remove pins.
Dry cleaning solvent (SD2) is toxic and
flammable. Wear protective goggles and
gloves and use only in well-ventilated area.
Clean pins with dry cleaning solvent (item 16,
appx C).
Lubricate with grease (item 20, appx C) and in-
stall.
Wipe off excess grease.
