Brake pedal is spring-loaded. Before
working in driver’s compartment, block
vehicle tracks and release parking brake.
●
Dry cleaning solvent (SD2) is toxic
and flammable. Wear protective
goggles and gloves and use only in
well-ventilated area.
NOTE
Access to left-hand (LH) final drive breather
(1) is through driver’s compartment. Access
to right-hand (RH) final drive breather (2) is
through transmission deck.
Remove breathers (1) and (2) and clean with dry
cleaning solvent (item 16, appx C).
Dip in OE/HDO or OEA (item 28 or 29, appx C)
and install.
