COOLANT TEMPERATURE INDICATOR MALFUNCTIONS — Continued

1.

Remove jumper wire.

2.

Replace water temperature switch (WP 0317 00).

3.

Verify no faults found.

1.

Turn MASTER SWITCH to OFF (see your -10).

2.

Remove engine harness plug (1) from front main harness

jack (2) at carrier bulkhead.

3.

Turn MASTER SWITCH to ON (see your -10).

4.

Is TEMP indicator still not in full left (cold) position?

AYN

1.

Repair engine harness circuit 33

(WP 0312 00).

2.

Verify no faults found.

1.

Turn MASTER SWITCH to OFF (see your -10).

2.

Remove instrument panel for access (WP 0238 00).

3.

Remove front main harness circuit 33 plug (1) from

TEMP indicator jack (2).

4.

Measure resistance between front main harness circuit

33 plug (1) and ground.

5.

Does multimeter read infinity?

1.

Repair front main harness circuit

33 (WP 0312 00).

2.

Verify no faults found.
