REPLACE PERSONNEL HEATER ASSEMBLY (ALL EXCEPT M1064) — Continued

10. Install ground strap (12) on heater (9). Secure with two new lockwashers (13) and screw (14).

11. Tighten clamp (15) on heater exhaust pipe (16).

12. Tighten clamp (17) on heater intake pipe (18).

13. Connect heater wiring harness (19) to heater (9).

FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS

1.

Install heater hose on plenum (WP 0617 00).

2.

Inst all power plant r ear access p anel (W P 0431 00, WP 0432 00, and W P 0433 00)

3.

Connect battery ground strap (WP 0294 00).

4.

Open heater fuel shutoff valve (see your -10).

5 .

Start h eater (see yo ur -10). F or h eater w ith P/N 5 000 –30 178 (Mod el A20 ), see TM 9-2 540 -2 07-14& P.
