REMOVAL

NOTE

For M113A2, slide spall liner to access engine compartment fire extinguisher.

1.

Loosen nut (1) on control valve adapter (2).

WARNING

You could be injured if cylinder discharges when it is out of its mounting brackets or is dropped.

Handle with great care.

2.

Loosen captive nut (3) on control valve (4). Remove valve from fire extinguisher cylinder (5).

3.

Remove adapter (2) from control valve (4). Discard adapter.

4.

Remove control valve (4) and cable from tube (6).

5.

Cut sleeve (6) and nut (1) from tube (7). Discard sleeve and nut.
