Battery ground strap disconnected (WP 0337 00 or

WP 0338 00)

Tachometer and speedometer cables disconnected from

instrument panel gauges (WP 0858 00)

Instrument panel, mounts, and two ground leads

removed from struts (WP 0295 01)

REMOVAL

NOTE

Removal of grounds will vary by vehicle. Vehicles with glow plug engines will have four ground

leads, while vehicles with air box heater engines will have three ground leads.

Remove screw (3) and lockwasher (4) securing instrument panel ground leads (8756715) (1), headlight HI beam circuit

519 (7), steering lock circuit 396A (6), and glow plug indicator light circuit 406B (5) from instrument panel shock

mount (2).
