REPLACE DRIVER’S HATCH INTERIOR LOCK AND LATCH — Continued

4.

Align eyebolt (4), spring (11), and two washers (12) with driver’s hatch bracket. Secure with headed pin (13) and new

cotter pin (14).

ADJUSTMENT

1.

Perform Step 2 and Step 3 to adjust lock and latch.

2.

Turn clevis (5) on eyebolt (4) until hatch closes tightly on hull in the latched position with maximum clearance of 3/32

inch (2 mm). Tighten nut (3).

3.

Turn lug (2) until latch (6) is in line with clevis (5) or 1/4 inch (6 mm) maximum above clevis in the latched position.

Tighten nut (1) on lug.
