REPLACE COMPARTMENT FLOOR PLATES (M1068A3 ONLY) — Continued

INSTALLATION

NOTE

Perform Step 1 only if vehicle has safe installed.

1.

Install four screws (2), new self-locking nuts (14), eight washers (1), and safe adapter plate (3) on floor plate (4).

2.

If velcro strips (5) and (6 ) were removed,

nstall tw o new ho ok velcro strips

(6) to cover plate (7) and two new loop

velcro strips (5) to floor plate (8). Install cover plate (7) to floor plate (8).

WARNING

Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These

compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you

dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat.

Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes.

Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves.

3.

If pads (11) and (13), strips (10), or seals (9) and (12) were removed, apply thin coat of adhesive to roughened side of

surface. Allow to dry 20-40 minutes. Apply thin coat of adhesive to metal surface of hull crossmembers. Allow to dry

30-120 seconds. Install pads, strips, and seals on crossmembers and press surfaces together firmly.
