REMOVAL

NOTE

Shield installed on M577A3

and M1068A3 carriers only.

1.

Remove four screws (1), lockwashers (2), washers (3), and shield (4) from sponson. Discard lockwashers.

2.

Depress plunger (5) until ﬂuid is drained from collector bowl (6). Wipe up spilled fuel.

NOTE

Loosen head bolt as instructed. Do not remove head bolt from ﬁlter head.

3.

Loosen head bolt (8) until ﬁlter element (7) with preformed packing (9) can be removed from ﬁlter head (10).

Remove head gasket (*) from filter head (10). Discard preformed packing and ﬁlter element.

Fuel can catch ﬁre and burn you. Do not smoke. Wipe up spilled fuel.
