NOTE

Perform Step 2 on all vehicles except M1068A3 and M577A3. Perform Step 3 on M1068A3

and M577A3.

Remove two nuts (7), U-bolt (5), and clamp (6) from exhaust pipe (10).

3.

Remove clamp (9) from exhaust pipe (10).

4.

Remove six screws (2), intake elbow (1), exhaust elbow (3), and two elbow gaskets (4) from carrier top deck. Discard

gaskets.

5.

Remove four screws (15), locknuts (8), two bulkhead gaskets (11), and exhaust pipes (10), (13), and (14) from power

plant bulkhead. Discard gaskets and locknuts.

6.

If necessary, remove grommet (12) from power plant bulkhead. Discard grommet.
