REPLACE IGNITER — Continued

INSPECTION AND REPAIR

1.

Check ground strap. Replace igniter if strap is worn or broken.

INSTALLATION

1.

Install new gasket (10) and igniter (9) in heater.

2.

Place resistor strap (8) on igniter (9). Secure with two nuts (7).

3.

Place ground strap (6) and igniter ground lead (5) on coolant heater. Secure with new lockwasher (4) and screw (3).

4.

Place cover plate (2) on end of heater. Turn cover to right and secure with four nuts (1).

FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS

1.

Install air cleaner (WP 0168 00).

2.

Connect battery ground strap (WP 0337 00 or WP 0338 00).

3.

Start heater. See TM 9-2350-277-10. Check that igniter works right. Turn heater off.

4.

Close power plant access door. See TM 9-2350-277-10.
