External handle shield removed (WP 0901 00),

(WP 0902 00), or (WP 0903 00)

REMOVAL

1.

Loosen captive nut (1) on control valve (2). Remove valve from ﬁre extinguisher cylinder (3).

NOTE

There are two types of control valves. Remove and install both valves same way.

M58 vehicle has two ﬁxed ﬁre extinguishers.

2.

Pull external handle (4) to break seal wire (5). Remove wire from handle and support bracket (6). Discard wire.

3.

Remove insert (7) from handle (4).
