REPLACE FIRE EXTINGUISHER CONTROL VALVE AND EXTERNAL HANDLE —

INSTALLATION

1.

Slide adapter (1) over cable (3). Install adapter in control valve (2).

2.

Route cable (3) through cable tube (4) and insert (6).

3.

Bend cable (3) over wedge (7). Slide insert (6) over cable and wedge.

4.

Install insert (6) in handle (8).

5.

Pull control valve (2) until handle (8) is in place on support bracket (9).

6.

Install valve (2) on ﬁre extinguisher cylinder (10). Secure with captive nut (11).

CAUTION

Fire extinguisher control valve sealed with wire will not work. Make sure seal wire is made out

of light copper.

Do not nick wire seal during installation.

7.

Install new copper seal wire (5) on control valve (2). Use lead seal hand press.

8.

Install new seal wire (12) between handle (8) and support bracket (9). Use lead seal hand press.

FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS

1.

Install external handle shield (WP 0901 00), (WP 0902 00), or (WP 0903 00).
