REMOVAL

NOTE

M58 vehicle has two ﬁxed ﬁre extinguishers.

For M113A3, slide spall liner to access engine compartment ﬁre extinguisher.

1.

Loosen nut (1) on control valve adapter (2).

WARNING

You could be injured by discharging cylinder if dropped or mounting bracket is not in place.

Discharge cylinder completely before removing from mount.

2.

Loosen captive nut (3) on control valve (4). Remove valve from ﬁre extinguisher cylinder (5).

3.

Remove adapter (2) from control valve (4). Discard adapter.

4.

Cut sleeve (6) and nut (1) from tube (7). Discard sleeve and nut.

Change 1
