(1) for entrapped moisture, fungus, and optical

defects. Make sure eyeshield (2) is free from

deterioration, cuts, or tears.

Check that all external surfaces of

M117/M117A2 panoramic telescope are free of

dents, cracks, rust, or corrosion.

Check all knobs (3) for damage and freedom of

movement.
