To measure deflection, gunner levels cross-level (38) and pitch level (37) of M145/M145A1 telescope

mount (39), turns head of M117/M117A2 panoramic telescope (36) to M1A1/M1A2 collimator (21) or

M1A2 aiming post (64) and records deflection from azimuth counter (35).
