1 Inspect flange (3) for cracks, distortion, and broken or missing splines. Replace if cracked, distorted, or splines

are broken or missing.

NOTE

2.0490 to 2.0500 in. (5.2045 to 5.2070 cm) pitch diameter is reading over two pins

(0.1406-in. [3.571-mm] diameters).

3 Inspect flange plug (17) for damage or distortion. Plug must provide water- and oil-tight seal. Replace flange

assembly (3) if plug is damaged or distorted.
