c. Inspection

Inspect bearings (51 and 59) and replace if damaged. Refer to TM 9-214 for proper cleaning, inspection

and lubrication procedures.

Inspect eyes (60 and 52). Replace if cracked or distorted. If threads have nicks, burrs, or other damage, re-

pair threads and use again.

Inspect piston adapter (54). Replace if scored or scratched.

Inspect elevating piston rod (8). Replace if scored or scratched.

5

Inspect cannon equilibrator (37). Replace if cracked, distorted, or bore is scored or scratched.
