Limitations:

Not recommended for pressure over 70 psi

Tubing (scavenge from available source)

Sealing compound (item 55, Appendix C)

•

Hose clamp (found In M2/3 generic BDR kit, Section III, Appendix C)

Hacksaw (found In M2/3 generic BDR kit, Section IlI, Appendix C)

Procedural Steps:

1.

Cut out damaged section of hose.

2.

Select a piece of tubing with the outside diamater equal to the inside diameter of the damage hose, and cut a

piece two inches longer than the piece of damaged hose.

WARNING

Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off harmful vapors, and are

harmful to skin and clothing.

To avoid injury or death, keep away from open fire and use it in well-

ventilated area.

If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound gets on skin or clothing, wash

immediately with soap and water.

3.

Apply sealing compound to both ends of the tube.

4.

Slide the tubing into both ends of the tube.

5.

Secure the hose to the tube with two hose clamps on each end positioned 180 degrees to each other.

6.

Record the BDAR action taken.

When mission is complete, as soon as practical, repair the equipment/system

using standard maintenance procedures.
