Transmission Top Cover Assembly
Covers the control valve assemblies. Contains the push-start control rod and houses the vacuum modulator.
The functional components on top of the transmission are control valve assemblies and solenoids. All components
must be removed from the top of the transmission prior to removal of the range pack. Sensor tubes and bolts
extending into the range pack are accessed from the top center housing assembly, beneath the transmission top
components. Refer to Figure 2 for an exploded view of the major top components of the X200-4A Transmission.
Control Valve Assemblies
Includes the valves, springs, and other components that control the selection of ranges and automatic shifting of
gears. The control valve assemblies are mounted on the separator plate and oil transfer plate assembly at the
top of the transmission center housing.
Separator Plate and Oil Transfer Plate Assembly
Channels oil between the control valve assemblies and the transmission center housing.
