SCOPE
This work package provides general maintenance practices that must be followed when working on the
transmission. This work package is provided to eliminate the need to repeat common maintenance practices
throughout this manual.
OVERVIEW
Follow the maintenance practices in this work package when working on the transmission. The maintenance
procedures in this manual cover normal maintenance situations. You may fndas

will not work because of contamination, overheating, or excessive wear. For example, a bearing may have to be
pressed out instead of lifted out as instructed in the procedure.
When a maintenance practice or procedure does not seem to be working for you, talk to your maintenance off cer
before trying any other method of doing the task. A bad method could damage good parts or cause unnecessary
damage to the transmission.
