Provide a suitable external source of 24-volt, direct current, electrical power for starting the

engine.

NOTE

The engine is equipped with a low-voltage protective module so

starter will not operate below 12 volts.

CAUTION

On engines (all 2CAs and some 2DAs) with a 650-amp generator, it

will be necessary to load the generator to 50 amperes or damage to the

generators drive clutch will occur.

Connect generator to voltage regulator and batteries as shown.
