NOTE

Screws are numbered to show tightening sequence. Screws must be tightened in

order.

Tighten first six screws in flywheel housing (1) to 90 to 100 lb-ft (122 to 136 N•M).

Tighten seventh through ninth screws to 40 to 45 lb-ft (54 to 61 N•m).

While Soldier A turns crankshaft screw (49) clockwise, Soldier B tightens tenth through twelth

screws to 10 to 45 lb-ft (5.4 to 61 N•m) then tells Soldier A to stop turning Screw (49).

Tighten thirteenth through twenty seventh screws to 25 to 30 lb-ft (34 to 41 N•m).

Tighten screw (9) on right side of engine to

40 to 45 lb-ft (54 to 61 N•m).
