We just got a Foxtrot modeL SeminoLe from factory overhauL with gray tape
on the main and nose wheeL struts. I've aLso seen a red paint stripe on struts±
I can²t find any reason for the tape or paint in a tech manuaL³ What gives,
Windy?
Dear SPecialist J.
e´
Ê.,
ÈhereËs no reason Ìr any paint or
marKings on the strUts on any ³rmybirdÍ
It's jUst something that got started and
KepÎ on going. So no need to add paint
or tapeÍ ReMoVe the tape and ignore
anY paint YoU mAy find there.
Ïour ÐÊD inspection c¾ecK calls for
cleaning the strUts and checking for 3Ñin
stÒut extension. Wipe the strUt with a
clean rag to stop sand, dirt, and grit from
scrAtching or sÓring the chrome shocK
absorbers.
