Batteries stored in the battery
cHarger can beat up t±e charger quick-
like if you don't keep an eye on them.
They leak and corrode.
Best bet is to remove the batteRies if
they're going to go unused for weeks
or Mont±s.
Other ways in whic± yoU can protect
the charger include:

drop them in, becaUse if you do they
hit the thermal switch and cause it to
least weekly while theyµre stored in t±e
charger .
.. and make sure the battery
contact shield is Covering t±e contaCt
Wipe all sand and dirt from t±e
battery beFore you put it in the
Æc±arger.
That way itµs easy to remove the
batÇery aFter it's charged. And, sand
and dirt won't get in t±e t±ermal
switch. Èrud in the switch could
prevent it from making contaCt.
ÉememberÊwhen you clean t±e
batteryËnever touch bot± contaCt
rings at the same time. Ìf you do you'll
get shocked.
