When you install the bolt of your

macHin

gun, be sure the bolt switch is in the right posI-
tion±
²n other words, t³e switch must be in the same
position as the belt Fed lever (right´or Left´hand
feed)±
²f you reverse the switch and µrget the feed
lever, a coupla' things can happen:
1.
You won't be able to get the
boLt all the way back.
2±
YoU can damage the boLt
switch and Fed lever.

assembly wiLl pull dirt into t³e
air cleaners ¹ which load up in a
hurry and push the air restrictor
indicator to redº
When the indicators show red a few minutes or a few miles after the
»Lters have been c¼eaned, do this½ ChanGe the air intake assembLy so it is
puLLing air ¾om the crew compartment instead of the engine compart¿
ment, and clean the »Lters again±
This will hold you until the next scheduled
service when you puLl the pack and give t³e
engine compartment a good cleaning± Àhen you
can switch back and Get the air ¾om t³e engine
compartment aGain±
