You probably Don't have the s³ing-a³ay moUnt if your carrier guIded mIssile
system serial number is belo³ 002679. The moUnt ³as InclUded in
configurations ³ith higher sErIal numbers.
YoU need the mount because th´ missIle launcher and machine gUn are
moUnted next to each otµer. Only one ¶R the other can be deployed at the same
time· WIth the older mount, you must remove and store the machIne gun .±. ¸nd
you must re-instalL the machine gUn to use it. That takes time a¹nd can make for
sticky problems±

To install tµe mount:
1. Òemove the 4 bolts and ³ashers
that secure the old moUnt to the
commander's Óupola.
2. Òemove the old moUnt and
hard³are (tUrn It In to yoUr sUpply as
excessÔ.
Õ. Öine Up the new moUnt on the
threaded holes of the old moUnt base
and Insert the new bolts and ³ashers.
The ¿N-180-6Õ bolts go In the insIde
holes and ¿N-180»×4 bolts go oUtsIde.

4. TorqUe all bolts to bet³een 101
tØ 108 lb-ft.
