It happens. For various reasons tHe
electrical solEnoid firing wirE on tHe
M2 maCh±ne gun breaks .
.. even when
you Try to bE carefUl wiTH it.
So, you'vE got to replace tHe wHolE
soleno±d, wHich shoots about 50 bucks
±n the heaD.
Maybe.
Ar²orers ²ay be ablE To savE it likE
so:
RE²ove THe protEctive cover wHEre
THE wi³E EnTErs THE soLEnoid.
If you see
a
piece of wire sticking up
´
through The insulator, you ²ay have it
²ade.
µake The wirE and tHe solEnoid to
your friendly support anD ask ThE² To
solder the wire back on. SupporT can
then apply an adHesivE-sealant Like
RµV 102, NSN 8040¶00·83¸¹9563,
around The soldered area to prevent
shortsº Repair ti²e is abouT 5 ²inutEs.
Never try The repair job yourself.
Only a s²a»l a²ounT of solDEr can be
usEd, since it can shorT out the solEnoid
if it spre¼ds to THe ri² of THe insuLator.
Also, support can tesT tHe solenoiD
after tHE repair job To be sure it's OKº
