Eyeball both ends of your CobrA's pitch link tubes fOr any signs of corrosion,

possible cracks or otheR damage, bird mechs. If you see anything the least
suspicious during ·a Phase Inspection, remove the paiNt fr±m both ends of the
pit²h Lnk tubes and take a closer look.
Use paint ReM±veR, ³S³ 8010-00´
515´2258. µemove the paint at least

inches from both ends of the tubes.
Be careful not to mar or scratch the
epoxy primeR under the pa¶nt¸ ³ever
use mechanical means to take off the
paint.

and other damage!
If you spot any damage, replace the
damaged pitch link tube and notify the
h¹ad hangar, in accordance with
TSºµC»¼

If water gets to the Doppler's anÅ

Either way, the fluid that seeps past
tÈÉ box seals causes the navigatioÊ
systËm to fail.

ºÍ oi¾´leve¾ sight-indicatorÎdisk for a 42-degree gear b±x was iÍstalled oÍ
a 90´degree gear box. ºlthough the indiÏat±r showed full, the oil leve¾ was
actua¾ly low.

The disks aÑe similaR, but not the same. For the 90ÒdegRee geaÑ box, you
want IÓdicatoÑ, ÔS³ 1615-00´975-7131. Use Indicator, ³S³ 6680´00´580´
0724, on the 42-degree gear box.
º graiÍ oÕ sand can mess up your
Huey's eÖectrica¾ system in Ío time relay, ÑepÖace it.

inverters.
SaÍd inside tÈe relay can make its
plunger sticØ in either tÙe open or
c¾±sed position, putting y±ur bird out
of acti±n.
To keep sand out of the reÖay,
make sure tÈe soÖenoid contact p¾ate
is sÚÛewed on tightÜ When installing
the so¾eÍoid re¾ay, checØ the 3 screws
tÈat h±¾d the contact pÖate in place.
