Mapping Maintenance
Your Digital Plotter Map (DPM) sucks a.ir to hold the map in place,
When you put tape over the air holes± you'll eventually gum them up enough
so they can't do their job²
If holes clog up± clean them with small wire²
Prevent tape buildup by using an overlay big
enough to cover the air hole surFce²
Cut the paper to ³it² Doubling it over won't ´oµ
There won't be enough clearance ¶or the write-head
pen²
Out o· Mylar? Any overlay paper will substitute²
Keep it4 ¸et square± though± because the writE-Head
goes to within 21 inches o· each side²
I· the pen won't write± check your paper² The

Drying Out?
Don't let the pen cry "how dry I
am±'' either² It dries out pretty Fst² I·
it hasn't been used in an hour or so± a
little patience will get it writing² Then±
when you're ³inished ·¼r the day± re½
place its plaStic cover²
Once the in¾ is gone± toss the pen
away² Get a kit o· 24 pens with N¿N

head eye lens² Make your own± or have
your training an´ audiovisuaL support
center Fbricate one År you² Æind a piece of cLear material and trace the
current eye lens² Cut out the new lens and draw cross hairs on it²
Keeping your writeÇhead assembly healthy starts with locking it into place
whenever you move and unlocking it be·¼re you use itÈ Then± when youÉre
through± let it down with the hand controL be·¼re you turn the power oʲ

o· glue in the lens and put it back on the Lamp² Òet the glue dry and then remove
the Lamp²
