Reassembling the HSP

Before you put the HSP back
together, lightLy Lube the cyLinder and
pawL with moLybdenum disuLfide or
dry FiLm Lubricant.

Set the pLug on a fLat surface with
the sLot toward you.
SLip the cyLindeR shieLd-with its
s±ot away from you-into the pLug.

PLace the tumbLEr shieLd-fLat
side down, and cu²ed edge pointing
toward you-into the pLug.

InstaLL the retaining ring. Be sure
it's seated against the tumbLer shielD
and the cyLinder shieLd. ³f it's not
seated good, you can'T seat the
cyLinder.

Put in t´e ±ockinG pins-s´oµ pin
goes in firs¶.

¸iLt the pLug towaRd yoU and put
in T´e detent baLL¹

SLide the cyLinderºwith the key
opening (Large fLat en») pointing
Down-into the pLug¼ Push the Lock½
ing pins into the pLug untiL the de½
tent baLL pops out to hoLd the cyLinder
in pLace.

¾ick up the pLug, inseµ the con¿
troL key, add the pawL, and turn the
key countercLockwise to t´e unLocked
position.

HoLd The Lock housing LabeL side
down-in youR ´and-as you sLide
the pLug assembLy into t´e case. ¸iLt
The Lock so t´e shack±e wiL± faLL into
the cLosed position. If t´e shackLe is
open, the paw± keeps the pLug from
seating.
