A clogged sCreen CaN restriCt oil fow
iN your D7E traCtor's traNsmissioN aNd
CaUse daMage!
±LeaNiNg the sCreeN aNd magNets is
a 250-hr serviCe iN T² 5-2410-214-12.
BUt there's NothiNg iN the T² to tell
yoU how to CleaN the sCreeN.
Here's how:
•
ReMove the Cover aNd spriNg, theN
remove the sCreeN aNd MagNets³
•
Wash the sCreen iN CleaNiNg sol´
VeNt Pµ¶-680. ±Lean t·e ¸agnets with

a stiF bristle ¹rUsh, like ºSº 7920»00¼
215½7134. Don¾t Use a ¿ire brUsh! Do
Not drop or rap the magNets. That CaN
daMage them.
•
±heCk the Cover seal ÀOr daMage.
IÀ it's bad, get a New oNe ¿ith ºSº
5330-00-863Á5549.

Seal damaged? Get a new one!

INstall the magNets, screeN, spriNg
aNd Cover, iN that order. TighteN the
CoVer Nuts to 31-34 lb-Àt dry (No oil)
or 23-25 l¹-Àt wet (threads lu¹ed with
oil)Â
•
±heCk the transMissioN oil leVel.
Add oil iÀ NeeÃeÄ tÅ ¹ring it to the
ÆÇÈÈ leVel.

Dirty OiL Fou±s Up the Work
DirÉ hydraULiC oil aNd Clogged Êlters
ËoN yoUr JD410 CaN make ÀÌr slUggish
respoNses aNd slow operatioN.
That
dirty oil CirCUlatiNg thrU the traNsMisÍ
sioN aNd hydraUliC systeM daMages
coNtrols, parts aNd seals.
Damaged
seals meaN leaks. Èeaks Make a JD410

ºew oil caN get dirty beÀOre yoU Use
it. Keep opeNed caNs aNd drUMs tightÎ
ly Covered to keep oUt dUst, dirt aNd
water.
Dirt aNd water CaN get iN iÀ yoU Ïrget
to replaCe the Àiller cap, or iÀ the cap
works loose dUriNg operatioN. Keep aN
eye oN it.
ÐÀ yoUr tractor is UNUsed Ñr loNg
perÒods, CoNdeNsatioN bUilds Up iN the
traNsmissioN case. ACid Ïrms iN the oil
aNd dissolves the ÀÓlters. Ôibers ÕoM the
Àilters Clog the iNtake sCreeN aNd cUt oF
oil to the pUmp.

RUN it UNtil the teMperatUre reaChes the
operatiNg raNge.

iMpaCtor, wipe aNy dirt oØÀ the CoUp-
Clean the
couplings
LiNgs. Keep the CoUpliNg Caps iN plaCe
wheN yoU doN't have aN aCCessory
attached. That will keep the dirt oUt.
ÙheN yoU ChaNge the Êlter eleMeNts
aNd oil at the 1,000-hr ChaNge called
ÀOr iN the P²±S, doN't Ñrget to CleaN
the traNsMissioN iNtake sCreeNÚ
It catChes everythiNg that gets past the
ÀiltersÛ IÀ it gets Clogged, oil CaN't get
to the pUMp.
