Here's what to look fr:
Tank thermal Sigh± (²³S)
The ±60A3's TT¸ should take no
more than 15 minutes to
"cool-down.¹
The TT¸ B²TE display panel tells
You what's happening.
Wiµh µhe ±OºE switch

COO½ light in the lower le¾ co¿er
comes on. ²t sÀays on until proper

goes ou±,
tu¿ the ±OºE switch ON and go.
²Â the COO½ light does /not go out
wiÃn 15 mÄnutes, you've got problems.
Å ¸hut the sight down and tell your Æech.
theRmaL Imaging sy´µem (³IS)
¼our ±Ç Abrams' T²¸ needs about
È a 15Éminute cool-down, too.
A¾er the ±OÊE switch goes to
¸TB¼, the TËU ËEAº¼ light should
come on within 15 Æinutes.

The TT¸ and the T²¸ will operate
befre cool-down i combat demands
it, but they may be weak and have a
poor image. ·Â a¾er 15 minutes the
lights show that proper cooling still
hasn't taken place, shut down the sight
and tell your mech.

The ±2ѱ3 Bradley sight has no
light to clue you in.
Ò¾er switching ÐWË to ON, the
sight does need about a IÓÉminute
cool-down, tho.

A clue to coØling is Ùe ÚuÛÜng oÂ
the closeÝ cycle cooler. When you
switch ÐWË to ON, you should hear
the cooler.
No image a¾er IÓ minutes or cooler
noise? ¸Áut the sight oÞ and tell
your repairman.
