KeEp P-D±680 drycleaning solvent out of your 42° gearbox, Huey mechs. It's
OK to clean components of t²e gearbox with P³D´680 when it's disassembledµ
You can make sure all of the solvent is removed with Fltered, compressed air,
like it says in Para 6±185 of TM 55-1520´210±23.

Never use solvent to ¶us² the gearbox· There's no way to get rid of all of
it. Any solvent le¸ in t²e gearbox contaminates the oil.
Instea¹ of P´D´680, use lubricating oil, NSN 9150-º0±985»7099, to ¶us¼ the
gearBox½
Hydraulic FiLter 0-Rings
OH±58A/C hydraulic ¶uid Flters, NSN 1650±00-179±4027, use two di¾erent
¿´rings, ¹epending on the manuÀcturer of t²e Flter housing½ If the part number
on the housing is 206-076-035-1, use ¿-ring NSN 5330´00´702-5220. IÁ yoUr
Flter housing has PN 206-076´035-101, use ¿´ring ÂSN 5330-00-559´6182.

Low±level platÃrms weigh onÄy about ÅÆ5 pounds. They can be pushed around
easily by moderately hig² winds or rotor was². Anyt²ing that gets in their wayÇ
personnel, aircra¸ or ground supÈort equipmentÉsu¾ers the consequences.
So, when you bird mechs haul one of the lig²tweigÊts out to the ¶ight line,
pUt it back in the hangar when you're Fnished.

The Numbers Ga±e

55´Ï06 on the same subject. Îrom now on, aviation Feld manuals published by
the Aviation Logistics School at Îort Ðustis will be issued numbers in the 1´500
series.
