Eyeball jacks for cracks and structural defects at least every

months. Look close

For leaks around hose fittings. If you find any c²acks or leaks, replace the pa³s.

Clean up the jacks at the same time you inspect aNd lube ´em. Use the same
detergent on painted surµaces of jack legS, outeR cylinders, heaD, base and Footpads
you use to clean your birds¶

Clean non-painted su·aces with a cloth moistened with Dry cleaning solvent P¸¹º680.
Purge anD flush the hyDraulic system at least once a yeaR. »efill with hyDraulic Fluid,

Our unit has Rplaced a loT of bearings inside the Tail wheel yoke
that weR ruined bY di± and moistuR.
But we figuRd out an easY and inexpensive solution to the P²blem.
It saves a lot of down time and Rplacement costs.

you need is a 21³-in piece of

insulation sleeving, NSN 5970-00-
78´µ6832, and a heat gun.
¶ut the sleeving over the top of
the Yoke until it exTends about ´·8
inCh below the shoulder.
Use tHe heaT gun to shrink The
sleeving around tHe upper body
and over the top end of the fork.
