CouLd be a broken connector rod. Check Çhe ÆI on the T53 engine.
È· the ÆI is RÉnning about 8 percent above normal, and Äe EGT and torque are
OK, ³e connectoR rod on ³e variabLe inlet guide vane assembly is pRobably
brokeN.
The vanes won't open Ênd the ÆI wilL run above noËaL.

loosen oR tighten the jam nut
and ¹he other to keep a
backup Ïrce oN ³Ð sel·²
aligNing bearing.
È· you don't put a backup
Ïrce on ¹he bearing, Çhe
jam Nut will
twist
and
weÑken ³e coNnector roD.
Maybe not right away, but it
wilÀ sooNeR oR lateR and ³e
rod wilL break.
So doN't take chances.
Grab two wrenches next
time you iNstaÍÀ or adjust ¹he
connector assembLy.
