Here's what you need to Look fOr before each NVG mission:

Here's what to Look fOr after each
NVG mission:

Stripped threads.
DEMI´±I³µ ´¶IE·D´¸Finger¹
prints, dirty.
CARRYI³µ ºA ´E»¼irty,
greasy, oiLy.
Here are so½e ¼¾'s and ¼¾N¿Ts:
D² loosen the Lever cLamp Àefore you
try to sLide an eyepiece.
D²³Á± overtighten the lever cLamp
when the eyepiece is where you want it.
That strips threads.
D² kee the seLfÃLocking nut inside
the cLamp knob tight.
D²³Á± fOrget to turn oÄ the ¾FFÅ
¾NÆÇÈ rotary switch when the goggLes
are not being used.
Éattery power
drains fast with the switch turned to ¾N
or
IR.

D² tighten the rotary switch knob set
screws befOre you use the goggLes. The
socket head screw key fOr tightening is
stored in the carrying case.
Tighten set screw
before using goggles
D²³Á± try to cLean the lenses with
anything but water and Lens paper, NSN
66±0-00-597-67±5,
soft tissue paper or
a soft, clean cloth.
D² make sure the battery is instaLled
correctly. The flat, positive (+) end goes
into the compartment first. UnLike ½ost
small batteries, the raised end is the
negative (Ê).
