CarrYing the M242's 95-pound re³
ceiver is alWays a t´oµman job. ¶f yoU
try to carRy it by yourself and drop iT,
you'll shear oF the drive motor±

·o carry the receiver, have a buddy
lock his hands under the ba¸el support
while you lock yours Under the recEiver
¹ve inches ºom the end.

receiver±
Otherwise, yoU'll mash THe
drive shaft or the sear's solenoid. Do
iT like this:
Make
sure the receiver's drive
sha½t is all the way dowN.

LifT the feeder locking ha¾dle oUt
of the way±

PuT the feeder fully ¿rward on
the receiver.

Push The drive shaft up as faR as
it will go and lock it iN. ¶f the shaft
won't move,
reposiTion The ²eder.
Give the

drive shaft a firm Tap Upward
With the palm of your hand.
Push
The locking handle down
with two fingers as you hold down the
handle
latch.
¶f the handle swIngs

down all the way, lock it in.

Áf the handle WonÂt go, don't ¿rÃe
it.
Äeposition the feeder against the
receiver
and
try
again.
Åhen
the
²eder's on right, the handle swings in
place easily. ·ell your armorer if the
handle won't go afTer

tries.
