Charge some li±e in the Dead BatterIes
with the help o± a "live· vehicle and a
slave cable.
Here's how to do it righT:

¸amiliarize yoursel± with the
¹ºave sTarting instrUctions in your vehi-
cLe's

Make sure the electroLyte level in
all ceLls o± the baTteries are Up to snu².

½et the parking brakes on both
vehicles and then shi¾ their transmis¿
sions To neutral. Àeep the Ái ve vehicle's
engine runningÂ
»hen, with one Ãrm push, shove the
otÄer connector into the dead vehicle's
slave Åeceptacle.
Ʊ either vehicle has the old 2Çpin
receptacle, be careÈl. »he hoOkÉup is
a Lµttle tRicky¼ Êireworks explode i± you
touch the ouTer shell o± the slave recep¿
tacle to the pins On the NA»Ë caBle
adapter¼ Arcing BuÌs the connectOrs,
receptacles and any Ãngers or other
±lesh that's in range¼
»his proBlem is easily avoidedÍ Just
push the NA»Ë 2Îpin adapter on the

cable while the staRTer is engaged, or

Ënce you see the dead vehicle is
going live, pull the caBle o² that vehi-
cle and then remove it Ùom the live
one.
