Clean barrel base with cleaning compound (item 1,
app D) on paint brush. Wipe dry with clean cloth
(item 2, app D).

Check material. If brittle or torn, scrape gasket
from mating surfaces.
Remove protective paper from adhesive on
cover plate side of new gasket.
Install new gasket on cover plate (2).

Remove self-locking nut (2), large nut
(3), and lockwasher (4) from new
adapter (5). Leave bond seal (6) on
adapter.
Push adapter (5) and bond seal (6)
through hole in discharger base.
