6. Operate hand pump (5) to purge MCU (1).

7. Disconnect umbilical for MCU (1) from release tether (2).
Turn the MCU on by turning the knob on the BCA clockwise (Figure 2-23) while observing
the charge kit bottle.
The BCA has incremental positions from “OFF” to 1-9 and
“FULL”.
Higher numbers provide greater cooling power.
