Oil Temperature Gauge

The oil temperature Gauge is of the air core type.

The air core gauge consists of three (3) copper wire coils

that are wound around a plastic bobbin containing a

magnet.

Attached to the magnet is a spindle and pointer

assembly which

indicates the oil temperature.

The thermister is merely a

variable resistor.

Its resistance depends upon the

temperature to which it is exposed.

When it is cold
