Cell assembly removed from eyepiece and erec-
tor lens subassembly (ref. para 3-22)
a. Disassembly
1 Using 2-9/16 and 2-37/64 inch tubular spanner
wrench, remove threaded ring (1).
2 Remove lens (2), spacer (3), and lens (4) from cell
(5). Mark lenses for reassembly (ref. TM 9-254).
b. Repair
1 Remove corrosion, grease, and dirt from all parts.
Refer to TM 9-254 for cleaning instructions.
2 Visually inspect for missing or damaged parts.
3 Repair or replace parts in accordance with author-
ized parts listed in appendix D.
