METER REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

7/8-inch wrench

Liquid gasket sealer, type II, MIL-S-45180
PERSONNEL: One
EQUIPMENT CONDITION:
Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set.
WARNING
To prevent fire or explosion, smoking, flame,
sparks, and glowing or hot objects are not
allowed within 50 feet of work area during
this task.
a. Removal.
1.
Open fuel truck rear compartment doors.
2.
Put wide pan below truck under drain pipe (1) . Turn globe valve handle (2)
slowly to the left until fuel slowly drains from drain line.
3.
When drain line (1) is empty, turn globe valve handle (2) all the way to the
right.
Take out wide pan and put fuel in approved disposal area.
