REMOVAL
NOTE
•
Engine oil pan is mounted with screw-assembled washers on late model engines.
•
Have adequate drainage container ready to catch oil.
1.
Remove two screws (Figure 1, Item 5), washers (Figure 1, Item 6), and clamps (Figure 1, Item 4) from oil pump
pickup and return hoses (Figure 1, Items 1 and 7) and engine oil pan (Figure 1, Item 2).
2.
Disconnect oil pump pickup hose (Figure 1, Item 1) from adapter flange (Figure 1, Item 3) and oil pump
(Figure
1,
Item

INSPECTION
Inspect oil pump pickup hose. Replace if threads are stripped or hose is cracked or frayed.
