EQUIPMENT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Davit chain and wire rope removed (para. 3-264).

Locknut (Appendix D, Item 299)

Two cotter pins (Appendix D, Item 50)

Cotter pin (Appendix D, Item 51)

1.

Remove six screws (16), three clamps (15), and swing davit (5) from van body (6) and base (7).

2.

Remove two cotter pins (18) and davit pin (17) from swing davit (5). Discard cotter pins (18).

3.

Remove locknut (4), washer (3), screw (19), two spacers (1), and davit pulley (2) from swing davit (5).

Discard locknut (4).

4.

Remove three screws (14) and base (7) from van body (6).

5.

Remove cotter pin (11), shaft (10), spacer (12), and pulley (13) from pulley bracket (8). Discard cotter

pin (11).

6.

Remove four screws (9) and pulley bracket (8) from van body (6).

1.

Install pulley bracket (8) on van body (6) four screws (9).

2.

Install spacer (12) and pulley (13) on pulley bracket (8) with shaft (10) and new cotter pin (11).

3.

Install base (7) on van body (6) with three screws (14).

4.

Install davit pulley (2) and two spacers (1) on swing davit (5) with screw (19), washer (3), and new

locknut (4).

5.

Install davit pin (17) in swing davit (5) with two new cotter pins (18).

6.

Install swing davit (7) on van body (6) and base (7) with three clamps (15) and six screws (16).
