General mechanic’s tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)

EQUIPMENT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Davit chain and wire rope removed (para. 3-264).

Cotter pin (Appendix D, Item 50)

1.

Remove four screws (7) and winch (8) from van body (9).

2.

Push button (10) and remove retaining pin (11) from brace (1).

3.

Remove cotter pin (2), pin (12), spacer (4), handle lock (5), and spacer (6) from brace (1). Discard

cotter pin (2).

4.

Remove two screws (3) and brace (1) from van body (9).

1.

Install brace (1) on van body (9) with two screws (3).

2.

Install spacer (4), handle lock (5), and spacer (6) on brace (1) with pin (12) and new cotter pin (2).

3.

Install winch (8) on van body (9) with four screws (7).

4.

Push button (10) and install retaining pin (11) on brace (1).

FOLLOW-ON TASK: Install davit chain and wire rope (para. 3-264).
