EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Wheel(s) removed (para. 3-218).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Drycleaning solvent is flammable and toxic. Do
not use near an open flame.
Keep fire extinguisher nearby when using
drycleaning solvent.

Remove ten screws (11) and lockwashers (12) from drive flange (10) and hub (2). Discard
lockwashers (12).

Install two screws (11) in threaded holes (13) to separate drive flange (10) from hub (2).
Remove drive flange (10) and gasket (9), if present, from hub (2). Discard gasket (9).
Remove two screws (11) from drive flange (10).
Remove outer bearing locknut (8), bearing nut washer (7), bearing adjusting nut (6), and outer
bearing (5) from spindle (4).

Remove hub (2) and drum (1) from spindle (4).
Remove inner bearing oil seal (14) and inner bearing (15) from hub (2). Discard inner bearing oil
seal (14).

Remove ten wheel studs (3) and hub (2) from drum (1).
